Bryn y Wawr provides accommodation for 10 adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Bryn y Wawr caters for all female service users.
The property sits in an acre of secluded grounds and provides comfortable and spacious accommodation. There are 10 bedrooms with a number offering ensuite facilities or private bathrooms. All rooms measure over 10 square metres with the largest measuring 19.6 square metres. Additionally the home has one self-contained ground floor flat with separate sitting room and disabled access shower and kitchenette. Also there is a further 2 bed cottage with an independent bathroom, living room and kitchenette.
The communal areas have recently been fully refurbished and provide a television lounge with Sky television; a spacious dining room; and a games room. The games room has a wide range of equipment including a multimedia PC for general use; a Wii console with drum kit, guitar and karaoke machine and a range of books and dvd’s. Also provided is a well-equipped arts and crafts room.
In the centre of the house there is a beautiful garden room which houses a large hydrotherapy pool.
The garden includes a polytunnel with raised beds, a vegetable garden and a large chicken run. In the summer months there is a patio and barbeque area that is well used by all. At the top of the garden you will find a large log cabin which houses a gym equipped with a treadmill, cross trainer, stationary bike, rowing machine and multi-gym. The log cabin is surrounded by a large decking area which provides great views of fthe house and the valley.

The service users at Bryn y Wawr are fully supported to access local facilities and have a dedicated vehicle for this purpose. The house is situated in the centre of Llandeilo less than a 2-minute walk to the wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants the town offers.
Bryn y Wawr houses a dedicated onsite training facility that is used extensively by the staff team and by our sister home, Clynsaer.
