The following equipment has been provided to get the centre up and running:
• Two multimedia computers and printers with Wi-Fi for IT projects.
• A projector and screen which will be used both as a sensory tool and for film nights
• Sensory equipment, light projectors, black out blinds and comfy seating creating a relaxation area
• A fold up Treadmill
• A pool table which will have a table top for use as a craft / project table
• A dart board
• A stereo and CD’s
• A video camera and film making software
• A range of educational resources for developing life e.g. learning about money and telling the time.
We are delighted to announce that The Old Vicarage has opened a new activities centre in the grounds of the home.
The centre is housed within a large log cabin close to the sensory garden, raised beds and polytunnel.
It has been fitted out as a multi functional space to cater for the diverse interests and abilities of the service users at the Old Vicarage.
At the centre's opening, Nicola Elliott, Managing Director of Oakview Care ccommented "We are delighted to bring a greater choice of activities to the Old Vicarage and its service users. The centre is the latest instalment in our on-going investment campaign and we hope that everyone will reap the benefits of a dedicated space all year round".
