ACTIVITIES
The Old Vicarage offers a range of activities to its residents with full support where required. Examples include:

Work placements within local volunteer shops (Red Cross etc.)

Voluntary work placements e.g. at a local riding centre

College based courses in various subjects including arts and crafts, beauty, cookery, horticulture, bricklaying and pottery
Additionally, we provide day services within supported workshops including:

Growing for All – Supported workshop within a Garden Centre producing plants and products for the Garden Centre to sell to the public

Link Up – A supported workshop producing output of mailshots and bundled products for many large UK companies

The Phoenix Centre Café – Provided catering and cafeteria facilities to the centre’s users
Within the home there are opportunities for services users to engage in a wide range of activities in the home, in our activities block or in the garden. these include:

Gardening and small holding activities such as chicken keeping. We intend to provide polytunnels and raised beds in the near future as part of a green initiative which the service users have asked to be involved with

Meal Planning and Cookery – Staff support service users to create nutritional menu’s, to shop for ingredients and then to cook the meals they have planned

Computer Skills – Service users are supported to learn how to access information on the internet and engage in multimedia projects such as photo publishing
